Miroslav Stankovic
Founder and CEO of Cine Pro 93.
Film producer,
director of photography, and film director.
Studied Film
and Television Camera at University of Arts in Belgrade.
Over a 30-year period,
he worked as a filmmaker in more than fifty countries all over Africa,
Asia, and
Europe, filming artists, politicians, presidents, kings, but also the
life of common people. His camera
captured many precious moments of their lives.
For twelve years he was employed at Television Novi Sad, during which
time he joined an expedition in
the Himalayas, and served as a reporter and cinematographer in Beirut,
Lebanon (he
filmed the famous
USS
New Jersey).
He later reported from war zones in former Yugoslavia for Swedish
Television.
In 1993 he established
CINE PRO 93,
an independent production company, which produced a long feature
film "The
Gambler" (Kockar, 1994), based on
Dostoyevsky's
novel,
nearly twenty
documentary
and short
feature
films and
twelve
television broadcasts
about Czech and Swedish art and culture.
He dedicated a big part of his career
to Sweden. He filmed "By The Hyperboreans"
(screened at Festival
Prix Italia), "Erland Josefson I and II"
and "Royal Theatre Dramaten".
Documentary on Erland Josefson
was proclaimed a cultural event of the year. As a result of
proclamation, Swedish Embassy in Belgrade
organized an event -- Days of Swedish Culture.
His credits also include three long feature films, two television
dramas, 30 documentary and short films,
and several hundred television broadcasts.
In 1987, he was awarded the highest prize for
cinematography at a television festival in Neum, Bosnia
and Herzegovina.
